Mission

Reeves Construction Company is currently in search of a Staff Accountant to join their team in Brunswick, GA. The ideal candidate will have a BS Degree in Accounting or Business Administration and exposure to accounting practices and procedures.

Main Responsibilities

  • Profit and loss statement reviews

  • Fuel allocation journal entries and reconciliation

  • Weekly calculation/processing of information across a variety of systems

  • Cost coding various transactions

  • Provide analysis to other members of management vital to decision-making

  • Reconciliation of general ledger accounts

  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting

  • Participate in bi-annual budget process

  • Prepare and present various analysis for monthly cost reviews with management

  • Constantly drive improvements to processes through automation

  • Partner with the operations team to implement process improvements to reduce variances

Responsibilities

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Business with 1-4 years experience

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Knowlege of accounting principals and procedures (GAAP and IFRS)

  • Ability to learn a variety of systems with ease

  • Good knowledge and efficient use of entire MS Office suite of applications (MS Outlook, MS Teams, MS Excel, MS One Note)

  • Effective written and oral communications skills

  • Strong analytical skills/experience with accurate reconciliation

  • Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines

  • Self-started with the ability to adapt interpersonal styles and techniques to influence at all levels of the organization

Physical Responsibilities

  • Most work preformed in an office environment; quiet to moderate noise
  • Occasionally required to lift and /or move up to 35 lbs.
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel
  • Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear)
  • Sitting for long periods (up to 8 hours or more) at a desk using a computer with intermittent breaks
  • Occasionally required to stand and walk, reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; visiting work sites may require walking over uneven terrain and some exposure to dust, chemicals and loud noise
